On 18 September 1976, Queen performed at the Hyde Park in London, UK. It is estimated that between 150-200 thousand people turned up at Hyde Park, which is still a record for the venue to this day. The free concert was organized by investor; Richard Branson. The concert was mean't as a tribute to Jimi Hendrix. The concert was the 18th of September. The same day Jimi Hendrix died 6 years years prior to the live event. Jimi Hendrix also inspired Brian May to take his guitar playing to the next level. According to Roger Taylor, the drummer of Queen, the complete show was supposed to be shown on TV in early 1977 but was never aired. Since then, the footage has leaked out to collectors, though in terrible quality. Apparently, when the band entered, many fans stood up after sitting on the grass for nearly an hour. After performing the song, one of the audience members begins a riot die to 90% of te audience unable to see the band and it spreads. It came to the point where Freddie asks everyone to calm down by saying:

The show had finally ended at around 11:00PM that night. The bad decided to go out for a party since they're show didn't end up being a complete riot. Since they were having such a good time, they decided that alcohol would be the main focus. When they got to the bar at 12:00 Freddie called Queen's chauffeur and told him
"Darling, Pull up at the Old Bell (A pub in London) at 3:00AM. Maybe 4:00.." In a fun and chuckling voice.
By 2:00AM The band were considered dangerously drunk. Roger Taylor began frolicking around like a virgin on viagra. He then ripped his shirt off and poured a huge keg of beer over his body. Brian May yelled
”CHARGE!!”
and charged towards the bar stand and slid across it. He fell chest first to a table and then started wresting with it. John Deacon danced disco style to a heavy metal song, and when Killer Queen cane on the radio, John questioned who made it. Freddie Mercury started spinning around like a ballerina. This caused him to trip on a chair and fall down the pub stairs; taking the chair with him. Soon enough Brian May jumped like a super hero and slid down the stairs; hitting Freddie. The rest of the band members cane stumbling down with him. The members got kicked out and had to wait an hour.
the chauffeur arrived an hour later and everyone went to their flats.
